Educational Requirements
- B.Sc in Nursing.
Experience Requirements
- RNRM (Registered Nurse & Registered Midwife) with 8-10 yrs experience.
Job Responsibilities
- Managerial
- Performs the duties of the Assistant Chief of Nursing / Chief of Nursing in their absence if necessary as advised by Assistant Chief of Nursing / Chief of Nursing or own initiative.
- Checks night reports and census sheets from wards, ensuring accuracy.
- Aids ACNO/ CNO with statistical works as required.
- Personnel
- Aids ACNO in coordinating staff leave on the units.
- Aids the Head Nurse in all written procedures, assisting define Junior Staff when required.
- Advises and counsels nursing staff when required, initiating disciplinary procedures with ACNO.
- Professional
- Attends evening/night duty meetings, and occasional day duty meetings, participating in activities as required with an automatic right to place items on agenda.
- Participates in quality assurance programs.
- Initiates and participates in teaching sessions.
Technical Competencies
- Skills in organizing, directing and supervising of nursing personnel on respective work area.
- Basic Computer Skill.
- Guiding, teaching and inspiring the nurses on respective work area.
- Good technical Knowledge and skills.

Council Registration Requirements
